The Brief
A documentary photographer on black sand. Eighteen frames on her last working day.
The Approach
We gave the DoP a location and a woman who works in it. The basalt, the rain, the wind — the environment directed every beat. A sub-agent wrote shot directions in isolation, seeing only the beach and a camera bag. The weather was the only lighting rig.
This began with stillness.
